Contextual Targeting:
Using keyword targeting to display your ad when the consumer is searching or browsing for your product or service. As the name implies, your ad targets the context of a consumer's keyword search or a web page that a consumer is looking at.
Say, for example, that you have a wine website and you bid on the keyword " basketball ". A consumer either searches on the word " basketball" or visits a web page with the keyword "basketball" in the URL and your pop ad is displayed.
Behavioral Targeting:
Displaying ads based on a consumer's past browsing and search behavior. With behavioral targeting, pop under ads are not displayed based on the context of a consumer's current keyword search or browsing activity. Rather, ads are displayed based on searching and browsing behavior over a period of time.
Using the same example we mentioned for Contextual Targeting, you have a travel website and you bid on the keyword "vacation". On Monday a consumer searches on the word "vacation" or visits a web page with the keyword "vacation" in the URL. Using proprietary tracking methods, our network is aware that this consumer has an interest in the travel category. As a result of their browsing behavior, your travel ad will be displayed to that consumer later that week, regardless of what they are searching for or viewing at that time.
Compared to other forms of internet marketing, Pop-unders produce not only click-through rates that are much higher than the industry averages, but also an increase in conversion rates as well. Keyword targeted Pop unders are not to be remotely compared to random non-targeted, reviled and invasive pop ups ads.
POP UNDER Marketing or Keyword Targeted Pop Unders:
A type of window that appears behind the browser window of a Web site that a user has visited. In contrast to a pop-up ad, which appears over (on top of) the browser window, a pop-under is less obtrusive as it hides behind other windows. Pop-under ads linger behind the current browser window, appearing only after other windows have been closed.Pop unders are used extensively in advertising on the Web, though advertising is not the only application for pop-under windows.
Contextual Advertising:
Advertising on a Web site that is targeted to the specific individual who is visiting the Web site. A contextual ad system scans the text of a Web site for keywords and returns ads to the Web page based on what the user is viewing, either through ads placed on the page or pop under ads. For example, if the user is viewing a site about sports, and the site uses contextual advertising, the user might see ads for sports-related companies, such as memorabilia dealers or ticket sellers. Contextual advertising also is used by search engines to display ads on their search results pages based on what word(s) the users has searched for.
